Where to buy a STIB-MIVB travel ticket?
Do you only take the bus, tram or metro in Brussels occasionally? Here is where you can buy your STIB-MIVB transport ticket.
Paying contactless on board, buying a ticket in the app, at a GO vending machine or in a point of sale: you have plenty of choices to find just the ticket for you. Even if you’re a happy-go-lucky traveller or start your journey far from a station.
And if you haven’t had a chance to look it up online, any nearby outlets are also indicated at each stop, at the bottom left of the timetable.

Contactless payment
Travelling without buying your ticket in advance? It is indeed a perfectly valid option. In all our stations and on all our trams and buses you’ll find grey validating machines allowing contactless payment. Here is how it works: you directly validate your trip with your bank card or mobile payment app on your smartphone or smartwatch. Just tap your bank card or smart device and off you go!
The amount of €2.10, which is the price of a single fare, will be debited from your bank account. The daily debit will be capped at €7.5, which is the price of a 1-day ticket. It means that you reach the daily limit from your 4th journey on the same day and that every additional trip on that same day is free of charge.
A specific fare of €7.00 applies for journeys departing from Brussels Airport..
Contactless payment on our grey validating machines is only valid on the STIB-MIVB network.
The digital ticket
Thanks to the digital ticket, you can buy your Brupass and Brupass XL tickets right away in the app. Your digital ticket is immediately ready to use, so you’re good to go!
In the app, tickets are available wherever and whenever you want. And if you often use public transport, opt for a 10-journey ticket and get around at a lower price. Travel easily across the Brussels-Capital Region with the Brupass ticket or get a Brupass XL ticket and go for Brussels and beyond!

GO vending machines
All our stations and the main bus and tram stops are equipped with GO vending machines. At these ticket machines you can buy paper transport tickets and reload your MOBIB card. Payment is possible in cash as well as with a bank card.
Need a MOBIB basic card? You can buy one at the red GO ticket vending machines.
STIB-MIVB points of sales
Do you need further assistance or more information? Our sales agents in our KIOSK and BOOTIK will gladly help you choose the best ticket and provide you any other information you might need, such as advice on the best itinerary or details on travel times.
Online reloading
Do you have a MOBIB card and prefer reloading it before you start your trip? You can easily do so via our online purchase options.
If you use an eID card reader, your ticket will be loaded directly on your MOBIB card. If you don’t have an eID card reader, you can still reload your MOBIB card online, but we advise you to do it at least 4 days before the start of your trip.
