Taking your bicycle in the vehicles
When travelling by bike while using public transport, you must comply with a certain number of rules.
- Bicycles are only allowed in the metros and low-floor trams (these do not have steps to board the vehicles). They are not allowed on the other trams and buses.
- On business days, bicycles are not allowed during morning and afternoon peak hours.
- Tandems, e-bikes and cargo bikes are not allowed in any STIB-MIVB vehicle.
- Folded bicycles and child cycles are allowed in all our vehicles.
We kindly remind you it is strictly forbidden to cycle in the stations, on the platforms and in our vehicles. Any behaviour that can put you or any other traveller in harm’s way is a criminal offence.

Use MOBIB to take a ride with Villo!
STIB-MIVB and Villo! (shared bicycles) have joined forces to increase urban mobility. Thanks to our partnership, any traveller with a personal MOBIB card can access the Villo! cycles within minutes!
Here is how you hop on a Villo!:
You already have a MOBIB card
If you have a personal MOBIB card, you can rent a bicycle as many times as you like for only € 32,60 a year.
Three easy steps to rent a bicycle:
- Subscribe on villo.be
- Keep an eye on your mailbox: within 5 minutes, you will receive a confirmation email containing your member number and your PIN code.
- Go to a Villo! terminal to link your MOBIB card to your member number and PIN code you received in the email
Once your account is activated, you will be able to ride a Villo! any time you want! If you are a fast cycler or need to run a quick errand, you’re in luck: the first half hour of Villo! is free of charge
You already have a Villo! subscription
Are you already a Villo! member and you want to transfer your Villo! subscription on your MOBIB card for free? It’s as easy as pie: just call the Villo! Contact Center from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 6 pm at 078 05 11 10.

Secure cycle parking at Bourse/Beurs
Theft is every cyclist's worst nightmare. That is why we have created a secured cycle park for all urban cyclists in the Bourse/Beurs district. Thanks to this parking space, which is fitted with double-level bike racks, you will have no trouble finding a spot.
24/7 access
All members can access the cycle park every day, 24/7.
The secured zones are reserved for cyclists who own memberships to the big parkings of the city centre (Bourse/Beurs and soon De Brouckère) and/or who already own a spot in a bike box on cycloparking.brussels.
Subscribe for only € 15/year or € 30/year
Unlimited access to the secure bike parking will cost you just €15/year if you have a classic bike and €30/year if you have a Cargo bike.
To subscribe, simply scan the QR code with your smartphone when you enter the parking. Trouble reading the code? Go to the website www.cycloparking.brussels.
Do you prefer meeting us in person? Go to the”Bike point Beurs/Bourse” located on level -1 in the premetro station Bourse/Beurs.
Where can you find our secure parking?
Go to level -1 in the station Bourse/Beurs. You can access by using the stairs which are fitted with cycles rails or by taking the lift located on boulevard Anspach/Anspachlaan (between rue des Pierres/Steenstraat and rue Henri Maus/Henri Mausstraat).
