A unique phone number to report any suspicious object or behaviour on the STIB network
Passengers who notice a suspicious object or behaviour on the STIB network now have a unique phone number 1707 to report it. This number is simple and easy to remember and comes in addition to the existing contact options.
Every day, thousands of passengers take the buses, trams and metros of STIB and pass each other in the stations. Sometimes, they notice suspicious objects or behaviours but they do not always know directly whom they should contact or they hesitate to disturb the emergency services (police, fire department, etc.) because they are not sure of what they saw.

They can indeed directly contact the dispatching through the phones on the station platforms or the contact terminal but also speak directly with the tram or bus driver or to STIB agents in the stations or on the network.
Calling the police by dialing 101 - it is indicated in each station - remains the priority call in case of specific acts such as theft, assault, etc.
