You use STIB every day to travel to work or to go to school, to visit your family? Then choose one of our ticket formulas that best suits your needs. If you only travel on the STIB-MIVB network, then choose the STIB-MIVB ticket. If you frequently go to the airport, then the Airport Line formula is your ticket. Adapted to either geographical needs, your profile or which transport you use.

Children under the age of 6

Children under the age of 6 travel for free. For safety reasons they can't travel alone and must be accompanied by a person aged 12 or more with a valid transport ticket.

STIB-MIVB -12 years

Tariff: €0

  • Number of journeys: an unlimited number of journeys can be made from the date of the season ticket until the day before the 12th birthday of the child in question, the date on which the season ticket automatically expires.
  • Geographical area: the entire STIB network (except from Brussels Airport with line 12)
  • Medium: MOBIB card (cost = €6).
  • Customers: Children from 6 to 11 years old (inclusive).

  • Medium: MOBIB card (cost = €6).

SNCB-NMBS + STIB-MIVB

You take the train almost every day to Brussels and continue your journey on the STIB network? You don't need to buy two separate tickets for the SNCB and the STIB. Now you can buy a combined ticket. This is a STIB supplement on top of SNCB tickets. This allows you to travel on the STIB network (except between Bourget-Brussels Airport of line 12) during the period of your choice: a month, three months or a year. You can travel also use a ticket for a day trip which allows you to travel the entire day on the STIB network (except from Brussels Airport with line 12) on the same day of your railway journey.

STIB-MIVB 65+ brussels res. 12 months

Tariff: €12

  • Users: People 65 years old and over officially residing in the Brussels-Capital Region
  • Valid on: the entire STIB network (except from Brussels Airport with line 12).
  • Number of journeys: unlimited number of journeys, valid 12 months, from the season ticket start date set by the user on purchase
  • Medium: MOBIB card. (cost = €6)

Practical Information

If you wish to purchase this season ticket for the first time, you need to pesent yourself in one of our BOOTIK or through GO EASY. Renewals of this season ticket are possible through GO EASY, in our KIOSK, or at one of our GO-vending machines.

STIB-MIVB 65+ non brussels res. 12months

For a year: €60,00 (For Brussels residents, this tariff will be lowered to 12€ per year as from 1 July 2023. See previous section for more info) 

  • Number of journeys: an unlimited number of journeys can be made over 12 months, from the season ticket start date set by the user on purchase.
  • Geographical area: the entire STIB network (except from Brussels Airport with line 12).).

Practical Information

65+ PRRB season ticket (preferential tariff)

Tariff: €O

65+ season ticket issued under the following conditions:

  • Valid on the entire STIB/MIVB network (except from Brussels Airport with line 12)
  • Number of journeys: an unlimited number of journeys can be made over 12 months depending on the selected duration, from the season ticket start date set by the user on purchase
  • Medium: MOBIB card (cost = €6)
  • Customers: people 65 years old and over with a PRRB status recognised by the health insurance funds. Check with your health insurance if you are entitled to this tariff.
  • Necessary documents:
    • First season ticket: if it is the first time you benefit from this season ticket, step by at a BOOTIK with your identity document or e-ID or update your profile via MyBOOTIK with an electronic card reader.
    • Season ticket renewal: if you still have an PRRB status 7 days before the end date of your season ticket, the STIB/MIVB will renew your ticket automatically. Scan your MOBIB card at a GO vending machine or a validator in a station in order to load your season ticket onto your card. You do not need to introduce a certificate anymore.

STIB-MIVB PRRB 12mth

For a year: €85,00

  • Valid on the entire STIB/MIVB network (except the Bourget-Brussels Airport section)
  • Number of journeys: an unlimited number of journeys can be made over 1 or 12 months depending on the selected duration, from the season ticket start date set by the user on purchase
  • Medium: MOBIB card (cost = €6)
  • Customers: people up to 64 years old (included) with a PRRB status recognised by the health insurance funds, veterans or equivalent (including dependants). Check with your health insurance if you are entitled to this tariff.
  • Necessary documents:
    • First season ticket: if it is the first time you benefit from this season ticket, step by at a BOOTIK with your identity document or e-ID or update your profile via MyBOOTIK with an electronic card reader.
    • Season ticket renewal: If you still have an PRRB status 7 days before the end date of your season ticket, you can renew your season ticket without introducing a certificate. Reload your MOBIB card at a GO vending machine, in a BOOTIK or KIOSK sales outlet or online.

STIB-MIVB Social fare 12 months

Tariff: €0

  • Valid on the entire STIB/MIVB network (except from Brussels Airport with line 12)
  • Number of journeys: an unlimited number of journeys can be made over 12 months depending on the selected duration, from the season ticket start date set by the user on purchase
  • Medium: MOBIB card (cost= €6)
  • Customers: people, including those over 65 years old, who are domiciled in one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region and are dependent on one of the 19 Brussels CPAS (public social services centres) for social integration income or an equivalent to social benefits.
  • Necessary documents
    • First season ticket: if it is the first time you benefit from this season ticket, step by at a BOOTIK with your identity document or e-ID or update your profile via MyBOOTIK with an electronic card reader.
    • Season ticket renewal: if you still have an PRRB status 7 days before the end date of your season ticket, the STIB/MIVB will renew it automatically. Scan your MOBIB card at a GO vending machine or a validator in a station in order to load your season ticket onto your card. You do not need to introduce a certificate anymore.

STIB-MIVB Visually impaired

Tariff: €0

  • Customers: visually impaired persons with a permanent invalidity of at least 90%.
  • Validity: the entire STIB-MIVB network (except from Brussels Airport with line 12).

  • Medium: STIB-MIVB MOBIB card.

  • Necessary documents: electronic identity card (eID), national discount card for the public transport network.

STIB-MIVB Free accompanying person

Tariff: €0

  • Customers: persons with a disability recognised by the FPS Social Security, for their companion/carer.
  • Validity: the entire STIB-MIVB network (except from Brussels Airport with line 12). 
  • Number of journeys: unlimited number of journeys.
  • Medium: MOBIB card on behalf of the person needing assistance.

  • Necessary documents: copy of the free carer card issued by SNCB-NMBS.
  • Validity period: same as the free carer card.

STIB-MIVB 75 journeys

Price: 123,00 €

  • Valid on :
    • the whole STIB-MIVB network (except departing from Brussels Airport)
  • Valid for 90 days from the first validation and for 18 months after purchase
  • Number of journeys: 75 journeys
  • Medium: MOBIB card (cost=6€)
  • Customers: All customers.

Synthesis transport rules

At all times and without compensation, users must comply with any change (fare or otherwise) to their current transport ticket as well as any change to the STIB offer or more generally to the conditions for accessing and using the public transport service, and this following a decision made by the competent authority or body in respect of the regulations in force. Users must validate their transport ticket prior to every journey. At above-ground stops, the transport ticket must be validated every time the user boards or connects to a bus or tram. In underground metro and pre-metro stations, users must validate their transport tickets in the inspection areas. Users must present their transport tickets on request to a member of STIB's inspection staff acting in the course of their duties. Users in possession of a personalised MOBIB card must prove their identity on request to any member of STIB's inspection staff acting in the course of their duties..
