Bruxell'Air is a bonus granted by the Brussels-Capital Region to help fight the air pollution caused by car traffic.
This bonus aims at encouraging the car drivers living in Brussels to trade their vehicle in for more eco-friendly means of transportation: public transport, bike, walking and Cambio, the car sharing service.

SNCB-NMBS: by train in Brussels
With approximately thirty train stations in the Brussels region, SNCB-NMBS is a major public transport operator in our capital. The three main train stations in Brussels are Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid, Bruxelles-Central/Brussel-Centraal and Bruxelles-Nord/Brussel-Noord.
In addition to train services in Brussels, SNCB-NMBS is also taking you to every corner of our beautiful country. Do you fancy a trip to our neighbouring countries? TGV, Thalys or Eurostar will take you there.
Did you know… the first railway track on the European mainland was opened in Belgium? It was constructed at the instigation of King Leopold I and connected Brussels with Malines/Mechelen. The first train ride took place in 1835.

TEC: bus between Brussels & Wallonia
Seven bus lines operated by TEC are connecting Brussels with Brabant-Wallon/Waals Brabant and Hainaut/Bergen. Three bus lines are departing from Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid and 4 lines are departing from the south-east of Brussels.
With TEC you can travel from Brussels to:
- Waterloo
- Braine-l’Alleud/Eigenbrakel
- Wavre/Waver
- Louvain-la-Neuve
- Charleroi
De Lijn: bus between Brussels & Flanders
Approximately 60 bus services operated by De Lijn are connecting the Brussels region with various villages and major cities in Flanders.
With De Lijn you can travel from Brussels to:
- Halle
- Malines/Mechelen
- Vilvorde/Vilvoorde
- Alost/Aalst
- Louvain/Leuven
- Ninove
- Termonde/Dendermonde
The two major terminus stations of De Lijn in Brussels are located in train stations Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid and Bruxelles-Nord/Brussel-Noord.

Brupass tickets are valid for travel within the Brupass zone, more specifically:
- on the entire STIB-MIVB network, except on bus line 12 departing from Brussels Airport
- on the networks of operators TEC and De Lijn within the Brussels-Capital Region
- on the rail network of SNCB-NMBS, 2nd class, within the Brussels-Capital Region

It is valid in the entire Brussels-Capital Region, i.e.:
- On the entire STIB-MIVB network, except on bus line 12 departing from Brussels Airport
- On the networks of bus operators TEC and De Lijn
- On the rail network of SNCB-NMBS, 2nd class
You’re entitled to an unlimited number of journeys during the validity period of your season ticket.
